The 2014 FIFA World Cup event will resume this coming Sunday July 13th with the final game between football powerhouses; Germany and Argentina.

Early this week, the semifinals took place as the four remaining teams faced off to lock a spot at the finals. It is no secret the first match, literally set a pause in the day-a.day lives of millions worldwide as the Germans faced off the five-time world champions Brazil.

The predictions were in favor of Brazil due to their great football background and home ground advantage, despite the fact big stars like Neymar and Thiago Silva were to be absent. But history took a different turn and Germany crushed the Brazilians and their “Jogo Bonito” in less than 30 minutes of the first half. The game became a true nightmare for the hosts, as the Germans kept scoring goal after goal.

Furthermore, the third place will be decided between Brazil and the Netherlands on July 12th, 2014. Over the course of 4 weeks, the World Cup delivered many great surprises as legendary powerhouses like: Spain, Portugal, Croatia and Uruguay were defeated in the first round. Other great surprise was the CONCACAF team of Costa Rica a humble, braveheart group of youngsters who diminished to the ground their nemeses such as: Italy, England and Uruguay.

The team of Costa Rica had one of the best football performances during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Basically, they are the only team that finished their presentation unbeaten.
