The 28-year old Colombian striker also known as “the Tiger”, a true football promise in the making had a major set back last January 2014 due to a cruciate knee ligament injury which ended his European season with the AS Monaco and kept him out of his first World Cup.

Falcao´s career path has been very successful since his early beginnings starting with 4 years at the Argentinean River Plate, followed by a couple of years at FC Porto and then his true European debut was at Atletico de Madrid where he was able to display his great talent and unquestionable potential as a footballer.

Then in 2013 Falcao was transferred for £47.5million fee last summer to the French League first division and has played for AS Monaco since. His overall numbers with Monaco show 11 goals in 19 games before he was ruled out for six months early his year. There has been news regarding Real Madrid´s interest in the Colombian, but AS Monaco insist Falcao will not be sold.

“It’s a pity we lost James but we can count on Falcao staying. Regardless of what people say, he’s our player. He’s in the final stages of his recovery and he’ll be with us this season,” coach Leonardo Jardim said this week.

“Falcao will play this weekend,” Jardim told reporters. “Not the entire game but at least 15 to 20 minutes on Saturday and perhaps more on Sunday against Arsenal.

Despite, the recent contract sign up of James Rodriguez with Real Madrid, many football experts expect the Spaniard club to pursuit the other Colombian – Radamel Falcao who is believe to be a “new galactico” in the making.

Falcao´s recovery is not still at 100% yet, but he is back on the football field and he will be improving game after game.  ‘He’s in the final stages of his recovery and he’ll be with us this season.’
