Colts vs Broncos

On Sunday, January 11th the remaining games of the Divisional playoffs weekend will be taken place at Lambeau Field in Florida and at Sports Authority Field in Denver. Green Bay Packers welcome the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos face off the Indianapolis Colts.

Some of the latest news on the Packers vs. Cowboys upcoming game is on quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a slight tear in his calf muscle, sources told ESPN. He is also dealing with a significant strain. The injury is not expected to sidelined Rodgers for Sunday’s playoff game vs. Dallas, but it could impact his mobility.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Rodgers practiced during the team periods Thursday. McCarthy added Rodgers took 50-60 percent of the reps in practice. The Packers remain 6-point favorites for Sunday’s divisional playoff game. Nearly a half-century has passed since the Green Bay Packers rallied to beat the Dallas Cowboys at frigid Lambeau Field in one of the most memorable games in pro football history.

A little more than 47 years after the “Ice Bowl,” two of the NFL’s most storied franchises meet in the playoffs at Lambeau for the first time since that historic contest Sunday in this NFC divisional-round matchup.

While the Packers again have the home crowd and familiar elements in their favor, the Cowboys are confident the result will be different as they try for a fifth consecutive playoff victory over Green Bay. The teams are meeting in the postseason for the first time since the NFC championship game Jan. 14, 1996.  source:

As an interesting fact, Green Bay has won the last three meetings, most recently 37-36 at Dallas on Dec. 15, 2013. Check out this video on the game preview predictions

Later on that same day, the wrap up game of the afternoon will be between the Colts and the Broncos.  Seeing Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts again shouldn’t faze Peyton Manning, who got the best of his former team back in Week 1. All eyes figure to be on Manning and Luck as the well-rested Denver Broncos face Indianapolis in this AFC divisional matchup Sunday at Mile High.

This marks Manning’s third matchup against a Colts team with which he spent the first 14 years of his career before getting cut loose following the 2011 season, which he missed after undergoing multiple surgical procedures on his neck. The Broncos suffered a 39-33 loss in Manning’s much-anticipated return to Indianapolis last season before holding on for a 31-24 home win Sept. 7.

“We had them the first game of the season and he was fine,” Broncos Pro Bowl wideout Demaryius Thomas said of Manning. “It’s a playoff game so it’s a little bit different because if you lose, you’re done and if you win, you keep going. I can’t really talk for Peyton, but I think he’s fine.”

Luck led the NFL with a career-high 40 touchdown passes and finished third with 4,761 yards, just ahead of Manning’s 4,727. The Colts (12-5) will need to be wary of C.J. Anderson, who led the NFL with 648 rushing yards and eight TDs over the last six weeks of the regular season. The Broncos are 12-0 when compiling at least 88 yards on the ground.
