WEEK 4 BEARS

WEEK 4 BEARS

On Sunday September 28th we will witness great pro football action at Soldier Field as the Chicago Bears host the first game of the day against the Green Bay Packers. Chicago had a shaky 2014 preseason as they only managed to pull two wins while losing to the Seahawks and the Browns.

Over the past three weeks of NFL regulars season the Bears seemed to have gained the control back winning two consecutive games over San Francisco 49ers and the NY Jets. The following is a closer look at the Bears´ injury replacements for the upcoming games.

Let´s not forget these injuries began on Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills; when left guard Matt Slauson and center Roberto Garza both were lost to high-ankle sprains and receivers Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery suffered different lower-body injuries.

On Week 2 the injured kept being added to the list as Jeremiah Ratliff suffered a concussion; Charles Tillman tore his triceps, special-teams ace Sherrick McManis suffered a quadriceps injury and safety Chris Conte injured his shoulder.

And last week, during the practice linebacker Shea McClellin fractured his hand. Lastly, on Monday night, fullback Tony Fiammetta injured his hamstring. On Wednesday morning, Head coach Marc Trestman announced McClellin won’t be on the field Sunday so Michael Ola and Brian de la Puente will start for the third straight week and there is also a chance we will see Brock Vereen roaming the secondary, and Will Sutton and Ego Ferguson plugging up the defensive line. source: http://bleacherreport.com/

The Packers will be the Bears´next opponents in the race for a clean win. Green Bay does have a reason for confidence entering the 189th meeting as defensive coordinator Dom Capers is 8-1 against Jay Cutler, and Mike McCarthy is 11-6 against the Bears, including 4 in a row at Soldier Field.

Additionally, for the third straight game the Packers will play a team that’s either inadequate or depleted by injury in the secondary. For this reason, some of the most recent predicted scores for this football clash are: 31-28, 28-17 and 32-27.
