As we get closer and closer to the start of the 2014 March Madness Tournament, the top universities seeds are beginning to come into sharper focus. The following is the current top college teams ranking from No.25 seed to the No.1:
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Iowa State Cyclones
Saint Louis Billikens
Duke Blue Devils
Michigan State Spartans
San Diego State Aztecs
Wichita State Shockers
Last night the American Athletic Conference standings surprising swifted as Cincinnati Bearcats managed a win over Connecticut at home. This is the biggest positive surprise as the Huskies despite an impressive first half were unable to put up with a raucous crowd and lost to Cinn 63-58.
“We’re not done yet. We want to be on the big stage come March. That’s our focus: When we come to March to have a good seed and do what we need to do.” said forward Justin Jackson. Conn still has some changes to work out in order to lock a position as a Final Four contender.
Despite the fact, it has been a long time since no other team rather than Arizona had been in the number 1 position, Syracuse finally managed to win the top spot. Saturday night’s game between Duke and Syracuse is of great importance as the March Madness tournament starts in less than 38 days.
This coming week there are some other very interesting games as it follows: at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York the Clemson Tigers meet the Syracuse Orange, while on February 12th at Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh the Orange welcome Pittsburgh Panthers.
