The biggest sporting event in College basketball is just around the corner and on March 16th a total of 66 teams will be ready for Selection Sunday where they will find out if their season performance was good enough to be part of this year´s tournament.

The following are the NCAA tournaments rounds dates, locations and venues:

First Four This is part of the new tournament format and the lowest seeded conference champions play each other to lock a spot in the final 64 bracket.

1st Round takes place at the UD Arena on March 18 & 19.

Journey to the Sweet 16

This is now the 2nd and 3rd rounds and all teams that manage to win will move forward to the stage known as the Sweet 16.

2nd & 3rd rounds take place on March 20 & 22 and March 21 & 23 at:

First Niagara Center in New York

BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee

Amway Center in Orlando

Veterans Memorial Arena in Washington

PNC Arena in North Carolina

AT&T Center in San Antonio

Viejas Arenas in San Diego

Scottrade Center in St. Louis

The Regionals

The winning teams advance to the Elite Eight and the games take place on March 27, 28, 29 and 30. And the Final Four games will take place on the same days.

The Nationals – This year it will take place at the AT&T Stadium on April 5th

Championship Game –  AT&T Stadium on April 7th

As of next week 12 conference tournaments will begin despite there is still one more week to be played of the regular season. The first game scheduled is that of Wichita State, a team that will strive to stay within the top spots. Another favorite to win the tournament is Boston University Terriers, a team that seems to be on the right track to the tournament trophy.
