2014 NBA Regular Season

2014 NBA Regular Season

This is Week 18 of the NBA regular season and the basketball action is simply non-stop. NBA Champion Miami Heat top player and MVP, Lebron James managed to achieve a career-high 61 points on just 33 shots last Monday night when playing Charlotte Bobcats.

Over the course of the current 2013-2014 NBA season, this is the second time a player reaches such an outstanding figure in points as only last January Carmelo Anthony managed to pull a 60-point game.

Last time a player reached a 60-point record was back in February 2009 when Kobe Bryant knocked down 61 points in total against New York Knicks.

On the other hand, if we take a look at the Dallas´ latest performance as the team is now back to the 8th position in the Western conference. The Mavs started the month of March even worst than they did on February with their most recent 112-106 loss to the Spurs. The next challenge will be on March 27th against the Clippers, a match up they need to win.

Spurs vs Heat

Spurs vs Heat

On Thursday, one of the most expected NBA clashes takes place as the San Antonio Spurs welcome Miami Heat, both last season’s conference champions race for a place in the playoffs, the betting odds favorite the Spurs at -1.5 over/under 198.

The Spurs remain balanced as ever with their stars and versatile system, while the Heat is powered by only one-man, Lebron James and this could be a negative fact in the long run.
