WEEK 12 begins on Thursday night with a clash between Kansas City and Oakland Raiders at the O.co Coliseum at the West Coast. The Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders meet for the first time this season on a national stage.
The Raiders will be hosting the game in their home field, but the team has not much left to do as over the past weeks they have lost every single game they have played and currently hold a 0-10 record.
On the other hand, Kansas City Chiefs arrive in Oakland with a pretty solid winning streak of 5 consecutive victories and hold a 7-3 record which positions the team in second place in the AF Conference.
At the Raiders´locker rooms there is a dismal concern due to their continuous losses. Here are a couple of videos on the Raiders losing streak and their near future changes to improve their overall performance.
Instead of an afternoon of meetings and rehab Monday, the Raiders went through a one-hour walkthrough under the lights at the team’s facility not far from the Oakland Coliseum. With his team set to make its only appearance in prime time this season at home against Kansas City on Thursday night, interim Oakland coach Tony Sparano had no choice but to switch from the team’s normal routine.
Sparano altered the schedule to help his players get better acclimated to a night game. “The challenges are in getting the players’ routine down more than anything else,” he said. “We did a good job of trying to keep the practice at a time where the game is going to be played. That was really important.”
The Chiefs have a very short week, being given just two days to practice as the team prepares to fly to Oakland on Wednesday. Although Oakland is winless, Chiefs coach Andy Reid will approach this game aggressively to prevent an upset and help the team earn their sixth straight victory. Like last week, the Chiefs should go run-heavy and let the scatbackshandle the load on offense, as it will result in big yardage and scoring for Kansas City.
Kansas City has a prominent front seven, led mostly by outside linebackers Justin Houston and Tamba Hali, and nose tackle Dontari Poe. In addition, the Chiefs have gotten additional help against the run from inside linebacker Josh Mauga and defensive ends Jaye Howard and Allen Bailey.
