The Cleveland Browns were first founded in 1946 as a professional football team member of the AFC Conference and with a franchise based in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Browns are currently headquartered in the Cleveland Browns Training and Administrative Complex in Ohio. The team plays its home games at the FirstEnergy Stadium previously known as the Cleveland Browns Stadium with a capacity for approximately 71,516 spectators. This incredible facility was first opened in 1999 and ever since the Browns have been its full time  tenants.

Over the past 7 decades, the Browns have achieved 8 League championships, 11 Conference championships, 13 Division championships, 28 Playoff appearances during the following years: AAFC: 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949 —  NFL: 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1957, 1958, 1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1994, 2002.

Despite having an extensive history of great success in the NFL, in 1996 the Browns were  deactivated for three years due to a legal settlement that would keep the team´s legacy in Cleveland. In 1999 the Browns returned to the NFL to engage in a new era of football practices.

Cleveland´s most mentioned rivalries have been with the Pittsburgh Steelers; Pittsburgh leads the overall record of 5-24 against the Browns. Then Cincinnati Bengals who lead the all-time edge 42–37, having won the majority of games and finally Baltimore Ravens with a lead of 20–7 overall the Browns.

On a different note, Cleveland´s player Josh Gordon suspension due to failing a drug test reportedly for marijuana use, is certainly becoming a real issue for the team. They have to decide on whether to offer Gordon to come back and enroll in rehab or to cut him out of their roster.

It is really sad to learn Gordon’s drug issues go way back to his days at Baylor and Utah, and he does not seem to end those habits. It has been reported Gordon has never completed a full-time drug treatment program and his time is about to expire at the Browns.
