The city of Jacksonville in Florida is the home of the Jaguars, a professional football team created in 1993 more or less just 20 years ago. The Jaguars became part of the National Football League with the 1995 NFL candidates expansion and the team plays its home games at the Everbank Field also located in Jacksonville.

Over the past two decades the Jaguars have achieved 2 Division championships in 1998, 1999, and 6 Playoff appearances during the following years: 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2005, 2007.

The first-ever head coach of the Jaguars was Tom Coughlin who had previously worked with Boston College and had been quite successful. Coughlin was part of the Jaguars management until 2002, a total of 8 seasons.

In 2003, the Jaguars hired Jack Del Rio as head coach and he remained with the team for 5 seasons. During his time at Jacksonville, Del Rio´s defense ranked in the top 10 in yards allowed and the team made their way in the NFL.
