This coming Friday the 2014 NFL preseason WEEK 3 resumes with five more games in different cities within the United States, but the pro football highlights rely on the clash between Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions and NY Giants and NY Jets at MetLife Stadium.
On Friday evening the perfect football scenario takes place at Ford Field in Detroit as the Lions welcome the Jaguars (see predictions for Detroit and Jaguars here). Detroit´s latest performance was really not their best as the team suffered a very close loss to Oakland Raiders. But, there are still two more games to go before they enter the regular season.
Here are some Lions´stats for review:

Detroit Lions´latest injury report is on Defensive Back DeJon Gomes as he injured his neck at the recent game against Oakland. Gomes forced a fumble on a huge hit late in the 4th quarter, which caused the injury. He was taken back to the locker room and ruled out for the remainder of the game. He is questionable for Friday´s game. The Lions last NFL preseason game will be on August 28th at Buffalo.
On the other hand, Jacksonville Jaguars have also had their downfall with one victory and one loss into the preseason. The team has also one more remaining game on the 28th against Atlanta Falcons before they kick off the regular season on September 7th facing Philadelphia Eagles.
On a quick note for today´s recent news the Jaguars signed first-year fullback Eric Kettani and waived/injured tight end Fendi Onobun(knee) as the team announced today.
The most recent betting odds on the first Friday´s game favorite the home team Lions, these are the odds:
Detroit Lions -3 44.5u
Jacksonville Jaguars +3 44.5o
The second highlight of the night will be the infamous Snoopy Bowl – the game between the Eastern football powerhouses NY Giants @ NY Jets as both teams arrive with an unprecedented winning streak during this preseason. Both teams have a pretty solid roster and the clash should result in a fun game all around with some key things to look forward to or changing the channel to something else depending on what your team allegiance is.
The Giants are still trying to work out the kinks of their new West Coast offense and should be able to use this high tempo play-calling effectively. Look for Eli Manning to get some good reps in as he continues to familiarize himself with an entirely new offensive system.
The most recent betting odds stand at:
NY Giants EV 42.5o
NY Jets EV 42.5u
