This is a very interesting week for most NFL powerhouses as it is the last week of the 2014 NFL preseason. During the course of the week, pro football coaches need to decide which players will be part of their regular season rosters and which will need to wait for a better chance to be part of the official team.
The NFL preseason action resumes on Thursday night with a total of 16 games starting at 6pm ET until the last game around 10pm. Some of the night highlights will be taking place at Lambeau Field where the Green Bay Packers welcome as hosts the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Packers have certainly improved during the past weeks, but still are not to a 100% and that makes their fans and NFL experts uncertain on whether the team will be able to have a good 2014-15 season. Some of the Packers latest performance stats are as follow:
|PASSING YARDS||RUSHING YARDS||RECEIVING YARDS||TACKLES|
Furthermore, Green Bay needs to include boosting what has been a dismal front seven over the past few seasons, save for Clay Matthews, while also addressing the safety position, tight end and the offensive line. The Packers could remain a probable, albeit long-shot Super Bowl contender with Rodgers under center, but without him it looks more like a bunch who might challenge for a top-five pick in the draft.
The following are some of the Packers key players departures: WR James Jones (to Raiders), OT Marshall Newhouse, C Evan Dietrich-Smith (to Buccaneers), DE/DT C.J. Wilson, S M.D. Jennings (to Bears). On the other hand, Kansas City Chiefs last two preseason games have been quite dismal; two consecutive losses to the Panthers and the Vikings and only one pretty tight win over the Bengals. There are many unanswered questions the management and the players have not been able to convey and show on the football field leaving many concerns.

The most recent betting odds for the upcoming game favorite the host Green Bay and the spread stands at:
Kansas City Chiefs +2.5 42o
Green Bay Packers -2.5 42u
Let´s not forget these two teams also met in the preseason last year, with the Chiefs picking up a 30-8 home victory.
Later on Thursday night at the Paul Brown Stadium, the Cincinnati Bengals will be facing off the Indianapolis Colts. After a shaky start, the Bengals managed to win one game during WEEK 3 over Arizona Cardinals, but suffered two losses to the Chiefs and the Jets which made the preseason quite unpleasant and tense for the Bengals crew.
Bengals Coach Marvin Lewis has been around at the NFL level for more than 20 years and he recently caught the media attention by calling first-rounder Darqueze Dennard “the best rookie corner I’ve seen.”Teammate Terence Newman also told reporters that “the sky’s the limit” for the Michigan State product.
Some NFL experts mentioned quite a few concerns on the team´s overall performance, but hope to see that taken care of during the last week of preseason. Click below for more news on Cincinnati:
On Indianapolis end, no one really knows what is happening to the team as the Colts have had three consecutive losses to the Saints, the Jets and the Giants and there are no signs of improvement. For months, the coaching staff and front office have offered excuses for why running back Trent Richardson has struggled, and always with the understanding that he would eventually return to the form that made him a standout at Alabama.
“Trent, he needs to answer the bell and do his job to the best of his ability,” said the man who orchestrated the deal that brought Richardson to Indy (via ESPN.com). “We’re all accountable here. I will say this, there are a lot of backs last year that wouldn’t have got [2.4 YPC] considering the amount of people he had in that box and the amount of bodies that were hitting him before he even seemed to get the ball sometimes. He’s such a hard runner, we know how tough he is, but he’s got to produce just like all these guys do on this final 53.”
The more recent betting odds on this game stand at:
Indianapolis Colts -2.5 42u
Cincinnati Bengals +2.5 42o
