The 2014 NFL Preseason will have its opening day this coming weekend on August 3rd at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio as the Buffalo Bills and the New York Giants face off for the first time at the 51st Hall of Fame Game. NBC TV channel will be broadcasting the game that will be on at 8:00 PM ET and it will also be aired on Westwood One Radio nationwide.
A day before the big game which is also known as “the Pigskin Classic” there will be a very special event when seven new members will be welcomed into the institution and their names are: offensive tackle Walter Jones, linebacker Derrick Brooks, wide receiver Andre Reed, cornerback Aeneas Williams, punter Ray Guy and defensive ends Michael Strahan and Claude Humphrey.
“This is a wonderfully spectacular tradition, one of the greatest in all of sports,” said Hall of Fame president David Baker. “Nowhere can fans see so many of the greatest heroes of the game in one place at one time. There’s no better way to kick off the NFL’s 95th season.”
During the course of the NFL history, it was the New York Giants the first team to play in the very first Hall of Fame Game back in 1962. Afterwards, the Giants made another 3 trips to Canton to play in the preseason classics in 1972, 1985, and 2002.
On the other hand, Sunday´s appearance will be the Bills´fourth time at Fawcett Stadium, but Buffalo has never won in Canton. The Bills recorded presentations state a loss to the Cardinals in 1974, the Washington Redskins in 1989 and the Tennessee Titans in 2009.

“This year especially, I am so thankful that I can be on hand to share in a great weekend that shines the spotlight on the Buffalo Bills,” said Bills legendary Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, who is currently battling cancer and will serve as honorary captain and participate in the pregame coin toss along with ex-Giants HOF linebacker Harry Carson. “It is a great honor for me to represent the Bills organization at the coin toss to kick off the season. The entire experience will bring back memories from 2002 when so many of the Bills family fans, players and staff joined me in Canton for one of the most memorable times of my life.”

There is no secret both, the Giants and the Bills have plenty of holes and question marks coming into the new season. It’s always tough to predict preseason games, especially the first one for this reason the preseason game betting odds are not that great even though Bills have a slight edge with QB depth in quality and professional experience. The odds favorite the Buffalo Bills PK -125.
