Recap of the last NHL games playoffs results

As NHL is getting closer to its best part, here are some reviews of the playoff games of the last three days and the qualified team’s for the conference semifinals.

Game Series: Pittsburgh Penguins vs. NY Islanders

The Pittsburgh Penguins were made to win the Stanley Cup. They took another step toward their objective Saturday night. Brooks Orpik scored 7:49 into overtime to give the Penguins a series-win with the 4-3 triumph against the New York Islanders in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Now with this victory, the Penguins progress to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, where they will face the Ottawa Senators.

During this interesting game, the hockey gambling bettors were looking to side with the Islanders as +153 underdogs on the NHL money line, where the total was 5½ over -116 and under +106. None of this was positive for the bettors since the total ended with 7.

Game Series: Washington Capitals vs. NY Rangers

In Game 6, Lundqvist made sure that the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers got to seventh game to decide their playoff series for a second straight season by making 27 saves for his seventh career playoff shutout Sunday. Derick Brassard scored the only goal as New York beat the Capitals, 1-0, in Game 6 of this Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series.

Through Game 6, the Rangers were the favorites with a money line of -140 with a 5u -105 whereas the Capitals had a money line of +135 with odds of 5 o +112. As well these predictions weren’t following as they ended with just a total of 1 goal.

Nevertheless for Game 7, again Henrik Lundqvist was the hero by adding 8 more saves for his second shutout (35 saves) in approximately 30 hours and the Rangers’ offense did a great job as Arron Asham, Taylor Pyatt, Michael Del Zotto, Ryan Callahan and Mats Zuccarello all scored to give the Rangers a 5-0 victory against the Washington Capitals at Verizon Center in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Through this Game 7 the NHL playoff lines, look at Washington as a -135 favorite at while the total was 5. The total was 5 as predicted but Washington loses so this brings a half prediction done for gamblers.

The Rangers now will play the Boston Bruins, who beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime Monday. The Rangers and Bruins haven’t played in the Stanley Cup Playoffs since 1973, when New York beat Boston in the quarterfinals.

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals is Thursday at TD Garden.

Game Series: Boston Bruins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

Both Boston and Toronto fought through two scoreless periods before the Maple Leafs finally got going offensively in the third. Phil Kessel’s goal became the game-winner in a 2-1 victory. It was his second game-winning goal of the series. With this win Leafs forced Bruins to Game 7 in Boston.

The Maple Leafs was listed as +119 money line underdogs and set the opening total around 5. By this victory result the prediction wasn’t the best for bettors since game six on Sunday night ended +129 money line underdogs and the goal total landed under five goals.

On Game 7, eighty-two seconds from another painful elimination in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Patrice Bergeron found a way to score and settle one of the most memorable victories in the Boston franchise history on Monday night.

The Boston Bruins veteran erased a 4-3 deficit at 19:09 of the third period, then scored the game-winning goal at the 6:05 mark of overtime in Game 7 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, earning an incredible 5-4 victory and winning the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series in the most dramatic way.

Now, the Bruins advance to play the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals that begins Thursday night here at TD Garden.

The NHL playoff odd in this game seven was the home team Boston Bruins favored by -175 with the return on the road underdog Toronto Maple Leafs at +155 odds. The goal total was lined at five goals. None of these predictions were met for the gamblers.

Game Series: Detroit Red Wings vs. Anaheim Ducks

For the second straight time as the Red Wings confronted elimination in the Western Conference Quarterfinals, it was Henrik Zetterberg who made sure it didn’t happen.

Captain Zetterberg scored the opening goal and assisted on another, whereas Jimmy Howard made 31 saves as Detroit defeated the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 at Honda Center in Game 7 of the series Sunday night.

The Detroit Red Wings, who needed at least a point in the final game of the regular season just to qualify for the playoffs, will now move to play against the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference Semifinals.

For the Ducks this series against Detroit, will be remembered as a lost opportunity in a return to the playoffs after a two-year nonappearance. Young players like Kyle Palmieri, Nick Bonino and Etem, showed there is more potential to come in Anaheim.

During this Detroit vs. Anaheim, bettors looked at Detroit as +137 money line underdogs and they saw an opening total of 5. Some of the bettors were sure about the total but not of Detroit winning the game. Good luck for the next prediction betting lines.
