The NBA weekly hoops action continues to deliver plenty of interesting winning and losing streaks, statistics intrigues and red hot highlights to fans and sponsors. And this past week there was no exception; as the Portland Blazers faced off the Indiana Pacers at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse for a final score of 113 to 118.
Last Friday, the city of Indianapolis was on fire as two of the most improved teams in the NBA clashed while taking the game to the next level, even playing overtime as the Pacers managed a well-deserved victory. Indiana Pacers younger stars were not finding the right way to score and at that moment veterans David West and George Hill managed to score a combination of 67 points and took the lead.
With only 6:19 minutes remaining both teams scored on eight straight possessions down the stretch before trading misses in the final minute. Some of the top scorers were: Aldridge scored 22 points with 9 rebounds, but fouled out in OT. Lopez had a total of 17 points and 14 rebounds while Wesley Matthews scored 19 for Portland.
On the other hand, last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles the Chicago Bulls managed to pull a victory over the home team Lakers and a final score of 92 to 86. Despite the Lakers´efforts to make things interesting and making the game tight over the course of the four quarters Chicago´s top player Joakim Noah averaged double figures in rebounds (13) and points scoring 20 in total while helping his team to take a new victory.

“It gives you three penetrators, three guys that all shoot 3s, and that was why I tried it today.” stated Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni on playing three point guards.
There will be more action awaiting these teams as the week starts; on Tuesday´s evening Chicago faces Atlanta and the Lakers play Utah. On Thursday, Chicago meets Brooklyn Nets at Toronto while the Lakers await for Oklahoma City and on February 19th the action moves to Houston.
