On Thanksgiving day there will be lots of food, friends, and football action as the 2015 Playoffs get closer. This will be the first Thursday of the NFL season that will deliver three fantastic games that will define the future of these NFL powerhouses.
The clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys brings lots of attention as the NFL experts have called it “monumental.” The Cowboys know how important Thursday’s Thanksgiving Day showdown against the Eagles is, and for this reason the Cowboys are already one week into their game plan.
The Cowboys and the Eagles are locked in a first-place tie atop the NFC East at 8-3. The rivals face off twice in the next three weeks, the games separated by only 17 days. Looking ahead isn’t something NFL coaches typically do — or at least admit publicly to doing. The perception is that by peeking at future opponents on the calendar, a franchise is at risk of overlooking the team that looms next.
“We prepared during our bye week for Philadelphia, so we’ve got some hay in the barn,” team owner Jerry Jones said after Dallas’ 31-28 victory Sunday night against the New York Giants.

On the other hand, this past Sunday, the Eagles won their 10th consecutive game at Lincoln Financial Field with a rocket-fueled kickoff return to open the game – Josh Huff´s team-record 107-yarder – and took a 7-0 and never looked back.
Eagles inside linebacker Emmanuel Acho left Sunday’s game with a groin injury and will not practice Monday as the team turns its attention to Thursday’s Thanksgiving showdown in Dallas against the Cowboys.
Depending on the result of a Monday MRI, Acho’s absence Thursday could thrust first-round pick Marcus Smith into an expanded role in a game that could go a long way towards deciding the NFC East division champion. source: http://www.nj.com/
