The NFL Playoffs countdown has began and now there are just two weeks left of the regular season before the beginning of the 2015 Playoffs. This week the action takes place at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, where the Jaguars will host Thursday Night clash versus the Titans.

Currently, the Jaguars rank fourth in the AFC South and the team holds an overall record of 2-12 as their chances to lock a spot in the Playoffs seems very far away. But, despite that dismal record the Jaguars are favored by 2 ½ points in the early line against Tennessee Titans Thursday night, ending their string of being the underdog in 42 consecutive games.

Even though they lost to Tennessee, 16-14, on Oct. 12 The Jaguars are favored. The Titans were 2-4 after winning that game but have lost eight in a row since then, including a 16-11 loss to the New York Jets at home Sunday, to fall to 2-12. source:

The Jaguars announced on Monday that quarterback Blake Bortles is questionable for Thursday night’s game against the Tennessee Titans with a right mid-foot sprain. Bortles was injured during a sack in the fourth quarter against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

He played the entire game, finishing with 210 passing yards and an interception while being sacked eight times. He leads the league with 17 interceptions and has been sacked 46 times, second only to San Francisco’s Colin Kaepernick. source:

On the other hand, kicking off the Week 16 NFL schedule on “Thursday Night Football,” we’ve got a game that won’t necessarily be all that entertaining from a competition standpoint, but will have heavy implications on the upcoming draft. The Titans (2-12) lost a close one to the Jets in their last outing.  source: NFL

Tennessee is ranking 3rd in the same conference (AFC South), and the team record is exactly the same as their future opponents at 2-12 overall. Jaguars are last in the AFC South, sharing that honor with the Tennessee Titans, and they fell in their last outing, a 27-13 loss to the Houston Texans.
