NFL Training Camps 2013
The NFL regular season is around the corner and teams are getting ready for a fresh start; they will be deciding their starting players and which of them will be on the active roster for the upcoming season. Most of the time this happens with the NFL training camps; this camps were created for all of the teams to get together in different locations, train together and decide who will be the team of players that will start each game of the regular season and which would be the backup players.
This will also evaluate the health of each of the players and the condition in which they are starting the practices. The NFL training Camp is quite an important event, big decisions are made there and the future of the careers of some players is decided there. After acquiring or letting go players, coaches need to see which way teams work better.
This year is very important for favorite teams as the New England Patriots or the Baltimore Ravens who will be on the eye of the fans on what to expect. Both teams have been great throughout the years, but the Baltimore Ravens are the defending champion and many good things and movements are expected from them. Defense was weakened with the departure of Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and Bernard Pollard but was filled out with linebacker Arthur Brown and first year safety Matt Elam.
Brown was selected in April’s draft in the second round and the Ravens are waiting for his full recovery after he was submitted to a hernia surgery back in May. He is a very fast linebacker and is expected to cover Ray Lewis flawlessly. Elam is covering Bernard Pollard’s position; he demonstrated to pick up on the defense rapidly and was selected as a first-round draft pick.
The Baltimore Ravens odds to win the Super Bowl are set as 22/1 now below the Patriots, Broncos and 49ers who are the favorites for this year.
A team that is looking to improve and make a great season this year will be the Cleveland Browns. With the acquisition of running back Trent Richardson, the Browns are trying to give another face to the team. The problem is that the NFL has never seen a completely healthy Richardson and even though he is a tough player, he is coming out of a leg injury that kept him out of organized team activities and minicamp.
Richardson is expected to be fully recovered by the beginning of the NFL camp, but rumors are saying that he will miss most of August. We’ll have to wait and see.
Cleveland Browns odds to win the Super Bowl are 100/1, we hope a great year for this team.
