The NCAA football season is around the corner and many rumors and events are taking place right now when the NCAA and all of the teams are getting ready, and planning to have the best season ever. Bowls that are moving and taking place differently, NCAA predictions, players that have been acquired or that are going to play with different teams and injured players are some highlights of what’s happening now before the season starts on the latest college football news.

On Monday the Big Ten and the Pac-12 announced that they have a new agreement for the next six years that involves the Holiday Bowl and the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, while the Pac-12 will continue on having this events, the Big Ten will add those two California events. Along with the Rose Bowl, California will be hosting three events in the post season.

The Rose and Alamo bowls will continue on being first and second selection and the Holiday Bowl the third while the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl will move to the fourth position of the Pac-12 selection.

To this whole addition to the Big Ten, they also added the Pinstripe Bowl that will take place in New York Yankee Stadium for the next eight years. The Big Ten also expects to close the agreements for the Music Bowl, in Nashville Texas and the Armed Forces Bowl for six years each.

In another matter, the NCAA is about to make an announcement on the decision they will take in regards to Oregon and the recruiting violations that were found. Apparently they were looking into payment Oregon did to recruitment agencies. In April Oregon released some documents that revealed the violations and proposed two year probation and will lose one scholarship for the next three years.

Oregon was penalized by the NCAA back in 2004 for the same violation. The case was taken by the infractions committee as the NCAA and Oregon were not able to reach an agreement.

On the other hand tailback Russell Shell will not be taken by Pittsburgh this coming season. Shell rumors of his interest on moving to UCLA in the offseason, were brought to light back in April but he stated that he was looking to remain with the Panthers since the distance was going to be complicated between UCLA and Pennsylvania were his 2 daughters live; his future is uncertain now.

On this same matter running back Charles Sims announced that he will transfer to West Virginia for his senior season. The former Houston player suffered an injury that left him out of Houston’s 2 of the last 3 games in early November.
