The Pigskin Classic is the first college game played as a season-opener basically a college bowl showdown.
Last year´s Pigskin Classic XIII took place at the Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio where the Buckeyes of Ohio State University welcomed the Red Raiders of Texas Tech University.
It was the Buckeyes second appearance in the Pigskin Classic and they managed a very solid victory over their contenders. The final score was Ohio State 45, Texas Tech 21.
